Magazine journalism forms a part of all the journalism courses at Winchester, at both BA and MA level.Magazine journalism and newspaper feature writing is studied alongside photojournalism, magazine and web design and video journalism and documentary production. The magazine journalism and features course is taught by Jacqui Thornton, the former features editor of the Sun and a regular contributor to a wide range of magazines including Cosmopolitan magazine. Magazine writing and web production is taught by Chris Horrie, previously of BBC News Online, the Sunday Times and the Observer. MAGAZINE JOURNALISM OPTIONSStudents produce magazines to professional standards as part of a general training as a journalist. You will graduate as a rounded journalist, trained at BJTC standards but specialising in magazine journalism if you wish. The magazine journalism courses at the University of Winchester form part of the journalism in journalism at all levels from BA journalism to postgraduate diploma and MA journalism. Students on the magazine journalism elements of the BA journalism and MA journalism take part in work attachements at major London and regional magazine publishers, exploiting Winchester's position near the heart of the UK magazine industry.
