The Christmas Ball is all about what you wear and it’s essential to make the right impression.
For the girls of course, it’s all about the dress, but what dresses are ‘in’ this season?
This winter’s party trend, sees dresses with all over sequin shifts, body con fits and asymmetrical designs.
However the sequin detailing is really hot this Christmas.
There is strapless sequin dresses, classic little black sequin dresses, liquid silver sequin dresses, colour sequin dresses and there’s even sequin jackets, blazers, clutch bags and shoes to accessorise with!
But what’s right for you?
The body con fit dresses suit curvaceous or athletic figures, and are not exclusive to the super skinny. In fact this style doesn’t suit a fragile frame; it’s a power look that needs a strong curvy figure. For a less clingy style, try a tulip dress. Although these aren’t seen on the catwalks right now, they are still in the high street shops and have been reworked into this seasons sequin fad. Of course there are other types of embellishments available if you’re not a massive fan of sequins.
Studs, beads and jewels are still a big hit, and these have also been combined with the sequin look. If you want to go for something else altogether, go for lace, velvet or silk materials.
Shoulder pads are also back in, however they are more common in designer brands than in the high street right now. But if you really love the 80’s style, go for it!
Blacks and metallics are predominant this season, but if you want to be centre of attention this ball, be brave and go festive in Scarlett.
