A Hampshire man has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment at Winchester Crown Court after being found guilty of six counts of sexual abuse towards children.
Mr Bernard Vickery, 53, was already registered on the sex offenders list and had previously been convicted in 2001 of indecent assault.
Judge Barnet described Mr Vickery as “a serious threat to society and to young boys”.
However, despite the sentencing a relative of one of the victims expressed their concerns: “This is a disgrace, he should have been given longer. In eight years he will just do it again”.
Mr Vickery will also be registered on the sex offenders list for life.
